Greetings to all from Uganda.

It’s been long since my last update.

I was able to pass by Glenburnie and I have attached the updated pictures for the construction.

The classes are now ready for use. Painting is going on (one layer - undercoat) to give it some colour. It was so impressive to see the work and progress.

Victoria and Stephen are grateful for the prayers and support from ETRA UK.

More students were allowed to return to school, that is P.6. In May more classes will be allowed to return to school according to the Ministry of Education in Uganda. We continue to pray for a complete lift of the lockdown on schools. We continue to pray that the pandemic will leave the world sooner. We continue to pray for your health and safety amidst this challenging time.

Wishing you every blessing in Christ.

Joshua

Up to date info from The School

During the school day there is a morning meal plus lunch There are 10 teachers at the school

Pupils: Pupils to-date are few due to the lockdown. Some classes have not yet returned to school. But they were over 130.

What they learn: Primary School Certificate, skills on the farm (looking after animals, chickens, milking, gardening), Other skills (Tailoring / seamstress)

What else to say: We have active games and sports – football, Volleyball, netball, athletics and other games. The pupils often participate in district and local competitions.

The Guest House
This was originally designed as an income-generating project.  The idea was to welcome people from overseas to “Experience The Real Africa” (ETRA)- hence the name of the charity.   This is still open to guests and it is hoped that after the pandemic people will come and visit.  Meanwhile the building is being well used by the school and local community.
